Dr. Rhodes founded DDE Labs in 2014 after 4 years of consulting and 20 years in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and drug delivery companies, where he held both technical and executive leadership roles. He has extensive experience translating molecular therapeutics, formulation, delivery, and device programs from late stage research into clinical development.
He volunteers as a leadership mentor to start up companies, students, and academic programs, through the San Diego Entrepreneurs Exchange, Connect, the UCSD Von Leibig Center for Entrepreneurship, the UCSD Bioengineering Industrial Advisory Board, and lectures in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, in addition to serving as President and Member of the Board of Directors for the Boulder Peptide Society.
Chris lives in San Diego with his wife and UCLA graduate school classmate, Dr. Sharon Lee Rhodes, and together they enjoy traveling to visit their four children.

Sharon is a proven strategic leader with a potent combination of skills in the technical, corporate, academic and non-profit arenas. Previously, Sharon had a 10-year tenure as Dean of Economic and Workforce Development at the San Diego Community College District, has been Director of Corporate Relations at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Program Coordinator, Project Leader and Chemist at Pepsi Cola Company in Valhalla, NY, and has additional lab experience in the Clorox Corporation. Sharon has also served the community as a member of the Board of Directors of the the Asian Business Association, the Neighborhood House Association, United Way of San Diego County, and as a member of the Corporate Council of the San Diego Community College District.

Greg has public and private company operating and finance experience in Fortune 500 and emerging growth companies. His broad experience runs from technology and software to footwear and life sciences. He has functional expertise in financing, operations, intellectual property licensing, strategic planning, contracts, supply and demand planning, and risk management. He is a proven leader with strengths in staff and business development through the establishment of goals, mentoring, and team building.
Greg most recently served as EVP Operations and Strategic Initiatives for Shoes for Crews (SFC). SFC manufactures and distributes the most technologically advanced slip-resistant footwear for the foodservice, hospitality, industrial, and healthcare workplaces
